As a 7s team the team have done very well. Winning all their regular fixtures comfortably including a 9-0 win over Cheltenham College and 6-0 over The Dragon School. This set the team up well for the IAPS regional round at Repton. This is a very hard tournament and the standard gets higher each year. We were drawn in a very tough group with St Faiths as our first match we won 2-0, but this was a tough game. This was continued as we went on to beat Winchester House 3-0, Old Buckenham 2-1, Witham Hall 3-1, St Olaves and Spratton hall 3-0. This set up a quarterfinal with Cheltenham College which we won 3-0 and placed us one step from the Nationals. A 5-2 win over Swanbourne House saw us in the final, and with a place at the Nationals. St Faiths again stood in our way to retain out title. This time we lost 2-0 unable to take our chances and being hit on the break. However, the result qualified us for the Nationals to try and retain the title that we have won for 2 years in a row.

At the local Severnside trophy in very short games we won the tournament beating Cheltenham College and The Downs 2—0, drawing with Clifton and Beaudesert 1-1 and finally winning 2-0 against Prior Park 2-0 to retain the title. This led us to the County Championships and a comprehensive win saw us beat Katherine Lady Berkeley 10-1, St Edwards 4-0 and Kings Gloucester 8-1- county champions for the 8th year in a row and on to the West to try and retain the title we have won for the last year and try to gain a place at the Nationals to retain that title too.

At the IAPS National finals we played some great hockey winning our group, beating Port Regis, Eagle House, Cranleigh and Town Close along the way. One poor game in the quarter final saw us knocked out in sudden death. The boys were hugely disappointed, but pick themselves up to beat St Faith’s and then draw with Cranleigh. We had finished 5th= , which is a great achievement, but we all felt that things could so easily have been different.
